On March 19 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the presentation of a special issue of the socio-political, scientific-educational journal "Vatan", which is becoming popular in scientific, academic and political circles.
It was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation of Trade Unions, honorary diplomats, ambassadors of Uzbekistan abroad (via videoconferencing), heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country, as well as representatives of scientific and academic institutions, international organizations, leading foreign and local media, faculty and students of UWED.
Opening the event, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the UWED Sodyq Safoyev emphasized the importance of this publication, noting that "Vatan" has become a platform for discussing topical issues of domestic and foreign policy. According to him, the publication of the magazine in English opens up new opportunities for demonstrating the image of New Uzbekistan to the international community.

Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, editor-in-chief of the journal Khusan Ermatov noted in his speech that the “Vatan” magazine has become a reliable assistant for scientists, politicians, scientific researchers and analysts in expressing their ideas and views, and stressed that the publication is open to everyone.
During the event, the guests got acquainted with the video presentation of the special issue of the magazine in English.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Yu Jun noted in his speech that the magazine "Vatan" is distinguished by its rich content, demonstrates the achievements of Uzbekistan in social and economic reforms and its open and positive international image. "This is an important window for understanding the construction of a new Uzbekistan and the unique culture of the country," he stressed.
This magazine, published under the auspices of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, was created in pursuance of the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the development of national content.
The journal presents articles written with a broad and deep understanding of the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan, its regional cooperation and role in the international arena, as well as its history, present and future.
The special issue in English opens with a solemn poem by the Azerbaijani poet Akif Bagir "An Uzbek is coming...."
