On November 8, 2024, a online meeting was held between the faculty of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey.

This event was attended by the Political Affairs Counselor of the Embassy in Turkey, Avazbek Khadjimetov; Second Secretary, Dilrux Temiraliyev; Embassy staff member, Abdumalik Toichiboyev; and professors from UWED’s departments of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, International Relations, Political Science, International Finance and Investments, Civil and Private International Law, Uzbek and Russian Languages, and Eastern Languages.

The meeting discussed initiatives aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of science and education.

In particular, topics included expanding partnerships with Turkey’s leading higher education institutions across various fields, establishing professional development programs in general and specialized areas, implementing joint scientific projects with Turkish universities and other research institutions, as well as organizing conferences, master classes, roundtables, and co-authored publications. Additionally, measures were agreed upon to engage specialists from prestigious Turkish universities in UWED’s research activities and educational processes.

Representatives of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in Turkey expressed their commitment to providing practical support in implementing the aforementioned programs.
