On November 8, 2024, an open seminar titled "New Legal Foundations for the Antitrust Regulation of Digital Platforms in the Republic of Uzbekistan" was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). The seminar featured a lecture by digital law expert Muhayyo Mirzayeva.

During the seminar, the main aspects of the new legislation aimed at regulating the activities of digital platforms in Uzbekistan were discussed. In particular, criteria for determining the dominant position of digital platform operators and measures to prevent anti-competitive actions were addressed.

Muhayyo Mirzayeva emphasized the importance of introducing antitrust compliance for digital platform operators, which helps ensure adherence to legislation and foster a healthy competitive environment.

The seminar generated significant interest among young researchers at UWED, highlighting the relevance of the topic amid the digitalization of Uzbekistan's economy.
