On October 26 of this year, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with Senator David Ros, responsible for cooperation with Uzbekistan in the France-Central Asia interparliamentary group under the French Senate. He was invited to Uzbekistan as an international observer to participate in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
During the meeting, D. Ros noted that relations between the two countries have been successfully developing in the political, economic and cultural spheres in recent years.
The senator noted that French universities are interested in expanding cooperation with prestigious universities in Uzbekistan.
- UWED serves as a "door to great opportunities" for the further development of relations between the two countries in the field of education, - he emphasized.
In turn, the first vice-rector for academic affairs Akram Umarov noted that the new stage of relations between Uzbekistan and France opens up great opportunities for the implementation of special joint programs for students and faculty.
