On August 26 of this year, a presentation of a book dedicated to the activities of the Vice-President of Azerbaijan, head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The event was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Family and Women's Committee, the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, representatives of international organizations, the Tashkent city administration, as well as the faculty and students of UWED.

Opening the event, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoyev noted that the presentation of this publication about a prominent statesman and public figure of Azerbaijan was yet another evidence of the growing friendship between the two countries and peoples.

"The latest summit held recently in Tashkent resulted in the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations. This certainly marks the beginning of a new chapter in strengthening interstate cooperation and confirms the parties' firm commitment to the comprehensive development of multifaceted partnership," S. Safoyev emphasized.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev noted that the event organized at UWED shows the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening ties between the two peoples.

The presented book, which is called "The Gentle Power of the Victorious Leader - Mehriban Aliyeva" (author of the book Aigul Baghirova), comprehensively and in detail analyzes the personality of the heroine of the publication, her life path and all aspects of her multifaceted activities. At the same time, the publication examines the successes of Azerbaijan achieved under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

 The event also featured a presentation of another author, Zarifa Guliyeva’s book entitled “The Winners of Our History,” which also talks about the leaders of this country.
