On May 2 of this year, the French language holiday was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The representatives of the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan, leadership of the French Alliance and the representatives of Campus France took part in this event.

Odil Yusufjanov, the First Vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual affairs, opened the event with welcome speech. He also welcomed all the guests, students, and emphasized the importance of the French language. After this welcome speech, the audience was shown a video dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and France. The program of the event is rich with interactive games in the form of quizzes, student performances, live performances of traditional and pop French songs, traditional Belgian dance, Spanish dance and finally, modern French dance.

The event was held at a high level, which was a proof of the high attention paid to the French language.
