    On 17 April 2025 the Department of Civil Law and International Private Law Disciplines held an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Civil Law in the Age of Digitalization" at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

    The conference was attended by more than 25 specialists from the Russian Federation, Italy, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, including lawyers, scientists, representatives of government agencies, in particular, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Law University, the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent branch of MGIMO, etc.

    The international conference "Civil Law in the Age of Digitalization" was aimed at a comprehensive discussion of the transformation of legal institutions of civil law under the influence of the rapid development of digital technologies.

    The conference served as a platform for analyzing the impact of digital innovations (artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, etc.) on traditional civil law institutions (contract law, liability, protection of rights and interests of participants in legal relations, etc.), as well as exchanging experiences between lawyers, developers of digital technologies, representatives of science, government and international organizations, discussing the prospects for creating new legal mechanisms and doctrines that can ensure a balance between technical progress and the protection of citizens' rights.

    This international scientific and practical conference is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17 - " Strengthen the means of Implementation and Revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development" in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular, paragraph 17.6 - " Knowledge Sharing and Cooperation for Access to Science, Technology and Innovation".

    Thus, the conference became an important step towards the formation of modern civil law that can adequately respond to the challenges of the digital age and ensure the sustainable development of the rule of law.
