On November 19 of this year, the Olympiad among women's teams of higher educational institutions in volleyball was held in Mirzo-Ulugbek district. At this competition, the UWED women's volleyball team took 1st place among 11 teams, and successfully advanced to the city final stage.

The place of a woman, her political and legal culture are of particular importance in the chain of development of Uzbekistan as a state and society, occupying a worthy place among the countries of the world and in the international community. In the modern globalization process, the role of our girls is more important than ever in the formation of an active civic position of the new generation in relation to any conditions. Therefore, the main content of the reforms is to support women in putting forward new ideas and initiatives, ensuring their active participation in the efforts, changes and socio-political processes being implemented in our country. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but also an important foundation for achieving peace, prosperity and sustainable development. In recent years, laws have been reformed to encourage more girls to take an active role in society and ensure gender equality.    

At the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, attention to women has risen to the level of a real university strategy: its legal and institutional foundations have been radically improved. As a result, in order to encourage university women to science, a new mechanism was created - the “Society of Women Scientists”; support and further stimulation of its activities regularly bears fruit.

 The university also pays special attention to women's sports. In particular, a clear confirmation of the above is the university's women's team under the leadership of Davlat Rakhmatov and Shukhrat Dilmuradov in the field of physical education and sports of UWED.
