On February 18 of this year, a seminar-training titled "Learning to Write Scientific Articles Together" was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for students.
Opening the event, PhD in Philology, Head of the Center for Five Important Initiatives at UWED, Shohida Shakirova, shared her thoughts on the acceptance and practical significance of the Law on State Youth Policy, adopted by the head of state in 2016, as well as its role in the lives of young people.
During the event, UWED graduate student Feruz Hakimov shared important information about the processes of writing and publishing scientific articles. The training aimed to develop students' skills in research and publication preparation.
Hakimov discussed the key stages of writing a scientific article, including topic selection, hypothesis formulation, and article structure. Participants learned about the significance of conducting a literature review, which helps identify existing research and determine knowledge gaps. He also talked about various scientific journals and platforms for publication, emphasizing formatting and peer review requirements. His personal publishing experiences inspired students to engage actively in scientific activities.
At the end of the seminar, participants received recommendations for further developing their writing and publishing skills and had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss individual projects. The training proved to be an excellent opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of research and prepare for their future academic careers.
