ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES FROM THE YOUTH'S PERSPECTIVE
On December 7 of this year, Sh. Khudaykulova, a teacher from the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, along with members of the "Communication Skills" club, visited secondary school No. 332 in the Sergeli district. The purpose of their visit was to develop students' ability to engage freely in various speech situations concerning social and global issues, as well as the socio-economic development of our independent state. The aim was also to help students learn to express their opinions with solid reasoning and exchange ideas effectively.
During this visit, UWED students participated with their presentations on the topic "Environmental Issues from the Youth's Perspective." They exchanged views on the fact that environmental problems are among the most pressing issues today. They discussed how global warming, drinking water scarcity, water body pollution, and air pollution pose a threat not only to the environment but also to human health. They noted that the number of chronic diseases is rapidly increasing year after year, and that addressing these issues is the duty of every member of society.
These topics sparked heated discussions among students, prompting participants to deeply reflect on current pressing issues.
