On November 26 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy was visited by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin.

His stay at the university began with a meeting with the leadership of UWED, during which a constructive dialogue took place on multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea. Such key areas of interaction as the development of educational programs, student and teacher exchange, and joint scientific research were discussed in detail.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Korean higher education institutions and implementing joint initiatives in the field of science and technology.

Park Jin gave a lecture for students and faculty on the topic "Towards a Future Partnership: The Way Forward for Korean-Uzbek Relations".

In his speech, the high-ranking diplomat focused on the importance of Korean-Uzbek relations, emphasizing that cooperation in such areas as economics, culture and education is the basis for the further development of partnership. He noted that both countries have significant potential for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in the context of global challenges.

During the lecture, he answered questions from students, emphasizing the importance of youth in shaping the future of international relations and the role of new generations in strengthening friendship between countries.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of open dialogue and interest, which contributed to a deeper understanding of the strategic partnership between the two countries. The students expressed gratitude to the guest for the opportunity to learn more about international politics and the prospects for the development of bilateral relations.
