On November 17, 2024, UWED students took an active part in the prestigious Republican subject Olympiad “Cryptology,” held by the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Xorazmi, demonstrating high preparation and competitiveness.

UWED students were prepared for this Olympiad by senior lecturer of the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling I. Yarashov, a specialist in the field of cryptography and cybersecurity.

He held separate classes to thoroughly prepare the students and practically explain to them what strategies to use when solving difficult cryptanalysis problems. Before the Olympiad, he taught his students effective methods of approaching problems, important elements to pay attention to, and skills for analyzing information correctly.

During the Olympiad, UWED students demonstrated their theoretical knowledge and practical skills and achieved high results in solving problems of modern cryptographic methods and information security. The competition served not only to develop innovative thinking among students but also to raise them to a new level in the field of logical analysis and solving practical problems.

It should be noted that the prestigious scientific competition, in which 73 students from 27 higher educational institutions of the republic took part, allowed students to test their scientific and practical knowledge.
