    On November 15, 2024, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted an online meeting between its faculty members and a representative of Uzbekistan's Permanent Delegation to UNESCO.

    The event was attended by First Secretary of Uzbekistan's Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, Behruz Kadirov, along with heads and faculty members from the departments of International Law and Public Legal Disciplines, International Relations, Political Science, International Finance and Investments, Civil Law and International Private Law, as well as the heads of the Academic Affairs and International Relations departments at UWED.

      The meeting focused on discussing various areas for developing cooperation in science and education.

    Topics included enhancing collaboration between UNESCO and universities through UNESCO Chairs, publishing joint research, organizing professional development programs in agreed fields, implementing scientific projects, and conducting conferences, master classes, and roundtable discussions. Additionally, the discussion covered opportunities to enrich the UWED library with literature provided by the Permanent Delegation. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on measures to implement the discussed initiatives. Representatives of Uzbekistan's Permanent Delegation expressed their commitment to providing practical support for these programs.

    Such meetings play a significant role in advancing scientific and educational cooperation, contributing to stronger ties between nations and elevating collaboration in these fields to a new level.
