On November 11 of this year, the faculty of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy took part in the forum “Implementation of Environmental Initiatives in Universities: Successful Experience and Development”.

At the forum, organized jointly with the Ziyo Forum Foundation for the Development of Science and Education, the Federal Agency for International Humanitarian Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Rossotrudnichestvo), the ECO and the Community of Green Universities, UWED student Muslima Khakimova presented a report on the topic of “Experience of environmental volunteering and participation in the Girls Go Green Asia-Pacific program.”

It should be noted that today ecology and environmental protection have become one of the most pressing issues that everyone should think about. By the end of the last century, as a result of the imbalance between man and nature, the environmental situation has undergone dramatic changes.

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy has developed an action strategy in connection with the implementation of SDG indicators and, in accordance with it, it has been determined that program work will be carried out. The fact that UWED representatives took part in such a large-scale event is a priority in the SDG indicators.

The implementation of SDG indicators is included in national and regional development strategies and programs, including the concept of socio-economic development of Uzbekistan until 2030. Currently, SDG goals and indicators are included in more than 190 strategic documents, sectoral and regional programs. UWED departments carry out regular practical work on its implementation.
