On November 9 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an event on the topic “We are supporters of a healthy lifestyle!” in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Center for the Fight against HIV/AIDS, in which an epidemiologist and students took part.

The event was opened by the head of the Center of Five Important Initiatives of UWED Sh. Shakirova. She called on students to lead a healthy lifestyle. Epidemiologist S. Abidova gave a lecture on the ways of HIV/AIDS transmission, clinical manifestations of the disease and preventive measures. In her speech, she spoke in detail about the history of HIV/AIDS, its etiology, prevalence in the world, sources of the disease and methods of prevention.

The main objective of the seminar was to promote healthy lifestyle among students, explain the transmission routes, pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinical manifestations and prevention of HIV/AIDS. This event was organized with the aim of stimulating young people to healthy lifestyle and providing correct information about HIV/AIDS.
