On November 5, 2024, an online meeting was held between representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The event was attended by the director of the language education center and representatives of the departments: "International Relations", "Political Science", "International Economics", "System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling", "International Finance and Investments", "International Law and Public Law Sciences", "Civil Law and International Private Law" and "English Language". On the part of the embassy - Attaché for Culture and Education Jasur Valiev and Boburkhon Ziyamov.

During the discussion, the possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation and holding regular joint events of diplomats working in the UK with students and teachers of UWED were considered. The agenda of the online meeting also included tasks for the implementation of the 17th goal of the SDG: "Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development" and cooperation of the parties in this direction.

The meeting with diplomats working at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK was organized as part of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for systemic reform of the activities of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy" dated July 23, 2022 No. PD-330 in terms of cooperation with diplomatic missions of our country abroad.

Following the meeting, the parties identified areas of constructive partnership, and outlined plans for further interaction.
