UWED representatives took part in the 1st International Congress of People's Diplomats
On October 28 of this year, the First International Congress of People's Diplomats "Public Diplomacy of Uzbekistan: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" was held in Tashkent, organized by the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy.
Along with representatives of Uzbekistan, envoys from India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the UAE, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Turkey took part in it.
E’tibor Sultanova, Professor, Doctor of Political Sciences, Mirzoumid Hamdamov, Dean of the Faculty of “International Economics and Management”, Fazliddin Jamalov, lecturer of the Faculty of International Relations and Muhammadshoh Khusenov, 4th year student took part in the Congress.
The Congress summed up the work of the public organization in recent years, discussed new prospects for intercultural interaction within the SCO and opportunities for further expansion of cooperation.
Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan Kabulzhan Sabirov emphasized the importance of public diplomacy as a way to create dialogue and mutual understanding between countries, noting that in the age of information technology this movement is acquiring new dimensions, uniting people of different ages and interests.
