Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahmed Farooq visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on August 6 this year.

The high-ranking diplomat was received by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev.

During the meeting, they discussed promising areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education and scientific research.

Ambassador Ahmed Farooq offered to organize in-depth study of Urdu language at UWED with the help of experienced teachers from leading universities in Pakistan.

- “This will allow students to learn the language better and deepen their knowledge of the traditions and culture of our country”, he emphasized.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached to open new opportunities for training and exchange of experience between students and teachers of universities of the two countries.
