In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Measures for the Systemic Reformation of the Activities of UWED” No. PP-330 dated July 23, 2022, in order to improve educational resources and develop the material and technical base of the university, the Department of Oriental Languages, within the framework of cooperation with the Japanese Nippon Foundation, implemented a project to update the University library fund.

In this regard, on April 17 of this year, the department received 107 books from the Japanese foundation on a gratuitous basis, including textbooks on the Japanese language, literature on Japanese culture, as well as 24 volumes of the World Encyclopedia in Japanese.

The new educational literature is intended to expand, deepen and better assimilate knowledge not only of the Japanese language, but also of the history and culture of Japan.

Cooperation with the Nippon Foundation once again confirms the desire to support educational and cultural exchange between our countries, which is an important step in the development of academic cooperation.
