On March 15 of this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Sodyq Safoev, held a meeting with the participants of the International Youth Forum on Sustainable Development 2024.

During his speech, S. Safoev emphasized the importance of youth participation in sustainable development and the role of state institutions in this process. He specifically highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country within the framework of the “Strategy for the Development of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026”, which are fully aligned with the global goals of sustainable development. Among the country's key achievements were efforts to reduce poverty levels, improve the social protection system, and enhance food security.
