On February 14, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted celebrations that concluded a series of events dedicated to Alisher Navoi and Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur under the slogan “Respect for our great ancestors”. On this day, the results of essay and video clip competitions, which lasted for a month, were summed up.

The event was opened by the first vice-rector for youth and spiritual-educational work of the university O. Yusufzhanov. In his speech, he noted that the main purpose of holding creative competitions at UWED was to provide an opportunity to better understand the life and creative heritage of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

It was also announced here that the winners in the essay competitions “Hazrat Navoi - a great sage and speaker” and “Babur - mentor, politician” were students of the faculties of international economics and management Behruz Khikmatov and international relations Norkulov Ogabek.

More than 40 students took part in the video clip competition “Hymn of Classical Poetry,” and the work of a representative of the Faculty of International Economics and Management, Sevinch Razzakova, was named the best.

The winners of the competition were awarded certificates of honor and memorable gifts.

During the event, students demonstrated their knowledge of ghazals and rubai created by great creators.
