Preliminary exam procedure information for applicants to undergraduate programs at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for the 2023–2024 academic year
Submission of applicants’ documents to the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan will start from June 15 and last until July 5, 2023 through online application submission system.
Applicants can apply for the following undergraduate majors:
60310800 – “International Relations”
60310700 – “Political Science”
60412000 – “International Economics and Management (by regions and lines of activity)”
60420100 – “Jurisprudence (by type of activity)”
Applicants can fill out an online application form via https://admission.uwed.uz and upload an electronic copy of the required documents for registration. After registration, the applicants will be informed of the date and time of the preliminary exam.
Attention! The preliminary exam for the 2023-2024 academic year will be held either online or offline (at the request of applicants) from July 1 to July 6.
The preliminary exam consists of three modules of questions:
Module 1. Intellectual level assessment (IQ test, 40 points).
Module 2. Native language (Uzbek or Russian) proficiency assessment. Evaluation of literacy and the ability to provide reasonable explanations on the topics of culture, art, history, geography of Uzbekistan and others. (Applicants will be required to write a short essay of 100-150 words, 30 points).
Module 3. Foreign language proficiency assessment (English, French or German) (Test, 30 points):
Applicants that have a language proficiency certificate of at least IELTS level 5.5, TOEFL IBT score 61, or B2 level according to the Multilevel method (CEFR) for DаF Test, GOETHE certificate, DELF, etc. will receive the maximum score of 30 points for the foreign language proficiency assessment.
Applicants who score a total of 50 points or higher will be allowed to participate in the Entrance exams conducted by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency for admission to UWED.
Only applicants who successfully pass the preliminary exam will be able to choose UWED as the university of study when applying for universities through the “Online registration of the applicant” service of https://my.gov.uz/. Applicants can also choose 4 other universities aside from the chosen University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
