On February 4, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted an online meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Bahodirovich Ibragimov.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, G. Ismailova, deans of faculties, as well as representatives of different departments and structural divisions of UWED.

Both parties highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, particularly in the field of education. The discussion covered a wide range of topics related to strengthening educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was given to academic mobility, joint research, scientific publications, and faculty exchanges. The possibility of expanding cooperation with leading universities and analytical centers in Kazakhstan was also discussed.

The Embassy expressed its readiness to facilitate connections with key educational and scientific institutions in Kazakhstan and to support initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral academic partnerships. The importance of creating new platforms for joint scientific projects and programs was emphasized, as they will contribute to the development of education and science in both countries.

At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further enhancing cooperation and developing new strategic initiatives to advance educational and scientific partnerships between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
