From November 15 to December 15 of this year, four students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy studied at the University of Salento in Lecce (Italy).

      The month-long student exchange program was made possible by the Memorandum signed between UWED and the Italian University of Salento. This document was signed in the summer of 2024 during a visit to this university by the head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages ​​at UWED, Professor Vasili Mamatkasimova, teachers of Italian Muborak Madrakhimova and Zarina Pardaeva, and German Gulbakhor Asatova.

       As part of the exchange, UWED students had the opportunity not only to take an in-depth course in Italian, but also to attend daily lectures on other subjects. In addition, they actively communicated with students and teachers of this educational institution, which allowed them not only to deepen their academic knowledge, but also to establish intercultural interaction and friendly contacts.

      The exchange program is certainly the first, but not the last step in establishing a long-term collaboration between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the University of Salento. It is expected that this collaboration will continue to develop and open up new opportunities in the future.
