On December 17, 2024, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting with the delegation from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University (RTEU). The delegation was led by the university’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yılmaz, and the Rector’s Advisor, Prof. Dr. Orhan Kemal.

The UWED was represented by First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, A. Umarov, Head of the Chair of Romano-Germanic Languages,V. Mamatkasimova, Turkish language instructor, Kh. Imamova, and Head of the International Academic Cooperation Office, G. Mirkhalilova.

The meeting provided an opportunity to explore potential avenues for collaboration between the two universities. Discussions highlighted the importance of academic exchange, joint research projects, and cooperation in language education and cultural understanding.

The RTEU delegation also highlighted their work on Turkic languages and cultural heritage, including the legacy of Alisher Navoi and Zakhiriddin Mukhammad Babur. UWED expressed interest in collaborating on joint research projects and fostering academic ties.

Following the discussions, both sides agreed to develop partnership relations and strengthen academic and scientific ties between the two universities.
