    On November 12 this year, a presentation of a new book "Prospects of Uzbekistan and India in the Development of Interconnectedness of South and Central Asia" was held in Delhi, dedicated to the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Indian multifaceted cooperation.

    The new collection, prepared for publication by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and the India-Central Asia Foundation, contains scientific articles by academic researchers and experts from the two countries on current topics of strategic interaction between Uzbekistan and India.

    Ambassador of Uzbekistan Sardor Rustambayev noted that historical, cultural, humanitarian and trade and economic relations between the two countries have been consistently developing in recent years and reaching a qualitatively new level.

     It was especially emphasized that the warm and friendly relations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, their mutual visits and fruitful meetings within the framework of various international events open up new prospects for further intensification of bilateral ties.

    Confidence was expressed that the new collection of scientific articles will be a worthy contribution to the development of mutual cooperation.

     Representatives of Indian scientific and academic circles spoke at the presentation and highly appreciated the results of large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years. The process of renewal in the country and international initiatives promoted by Tashkent create favorable opportunities for strengthening the interconnectedness of Central and South Asia, and the implementation of new effective projects of mutually beneficial cooperation.

    - The Uzbek and Russian versions of the books were published and presented in Tashkent in October of this year, - says Professor Ramakant Dwivedi, Director of the India-Central Asia Foundation. - Representatives of Indian scientific and academic circles and the diplomatic corps were present at today's event. We were pleased to prepare a collection of articles in three languages ​​for publication in cooperation with Uzbekistan and hope that this book will add to the list of literature devoted to mutual cooperation.

    - The book examines in detail the socio-political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas of bilateral relations, - says the director of the Diplomatic Academy at UWED Abdusamad Khaidarov. - We are confident that the new publication will arouse great interest not only among scientists and researchers from Uzbekistan and India, but also from the countries of Central and South Asia.

    As part of the presentation ceremony, scientific lectures were heard on various topical topics of Uzbek-Indian cooperation.
