On October 10 of this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Sodyq Safoyev, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Uzbekistan, Lubomir Frebort.

During the meeting, the key areas of Uzbek-Czech cooperation were discussed, including the intensification of inter-parliamentary relations and the strengthening of partnerships in the field of higher education.

The Czech Republic's experience in important areas such as budget policy and the fight against corruption was noted. Rector S. Safoyev emphasized the importance of strengthening the role of parliaments in these areas and highlighted the relevance of exchanging experiences and practices.

The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of establishing contacts with leading universities in the Czech Republic, particularly Charles University in Prague. An important aspect of this cooperation is the introduction of a double degree program, which will allow UWED students to receive education according to international standards.

Ambassador L. Frebort expressed a strong interest in the exchange of experiences between universities, as well as cooperation in the field of scientific research. This opens up new horizons for students and teachers, contributing to the development of the academic environment and strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed hope for further development of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
