On September 25 this year, a meeting with representatives of the University of Bologna (Italy) headed by the department rector Giovanni Molari and dean Matteo Vittuari was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

UWED was represented by First Vice-Rector A. Umarov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation G. Ismailova, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages ​​V. Mamatkasimova and teacher of Italian M. Madrahimova.

During the meeting, bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy was discussed, and the importance of recent visits of heads of state for the development of relations was noted. The parties expressed interest in establishing academic cooperation between UWED and the University of Bologna.

A. Umarov proposed concluding a memorandum on the UK, providing for joint scientific and academic projects and the exchange of teachers and students. The Italian mission highly appreciated the efforts of the Uzbek side and expressed readiness to jointly develop educational programs to improve the qualifications of students. Prospects for scientific and practical cooperation, organization of conferences, seminars and special courses were discussed.

At the end, the guests presented information about UWED in Italian and about the existing scientific ties of the university with Italian universities.
