UWED hosted a ceremonial event in honor of Uzbekistan Independence Day
On August 29 of this year, a ceremonial event was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan's Independence.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, Sodyq Safoev, emphasized the country's significant achievements during its period of Independence, highlighting the crucial role of education and science in societal progress.
Safoev also summarized the results of the past academic year. He focused on the university's notable successes in the academic sphere, emphasizing the importance of scientific research conducted and innovative projects implemented in collaboration with international partners.
Concluding his speech, the rector called upon all UWED employees to unite their efforts in fulfilling the university's priority task: training highly qualified personnel capable of contributing meaningfully to the prosperity of their homeland.
As part of the event, faculty and staff of UWED were recognized for their outstanding achievements in scientific work and contributions to the educational process.
Several university employees were awarded diplomatic ranks for their significant contributions to the development of international cooperation and the strengthening of external relations.
