UWED students took part in the competition “International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” in Ashgabat
On May 22-25 of this year, the international competition “International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” was held in the city of Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) with the participation of students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions of the countries of Central Asia, the Caspian states, the Republic of Turkiye and the People’s Republic of China (9 countries in total).
250 students took part in the competition, including 44 from 8 countries, the rest represented 22 higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. Of the foreign participants, Iran and Tajikistan were represented by two universities, Uzbekistan - 3rd year students of the Faculty of International Relations of UWED.
The competition consisted of three stages: a test consisting of 30 questions, a written work of 5 tasks and a team competition, including 5-10 tasks and tasks on the application of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics and others.
From each country, only one participant was awarded a diploma, a medal and a memorable gift - a computer. From among the Uzbek team of UWED, the winner was 3rd year student of the Faculty of International Relations Guli Nizamova.
This competition of young intellectuals is one of the first events in the context of supporting the ideas and principles reflected in the UN General Assembly resolution declaring 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust,” which was adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan in March 2024.
