A memorandum on bilateral cooperation was signed
On February 6, this year, a bilateral meeting with Korea University was organized at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The matters of lasting bilateral cooperation, exchange programs for both professors and students, partnership in research and education fields were discussed.
Rector Safoev talked about political and economic modernizations taking place in Uzbekistan and specific attention given to transformation of the higher educational institutions. During the meeting, the President of Korea University, Jin Taek Chung, emphasized that the delegation visited Uzbekistan for the first time and that he strongly believes in the bilateral cooperation between the universities. After that, the parties made a brief presentation about both universities. A number of practical proposals for the implementation of academic and scientific initiatives were made.
The meeting ended with the signing of a memorandum between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Korea University.
Also, members of the delegation led by Jin Taek Chung met with students studying Korean language, shared their thoughts on the importance of education and answered the students’ questions.
