Special attention is paid to the optional subjects of graduate students’ specialty disciplines.

After the graduation future experts will be able to work in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of external economic relations, trade and investments; in the system of the Prosecutor General's Office, Public administration, judicial system, National chamber of lawyers, consulting and investment companies; corporations, small business and private business; insurance companies and financial markets, and also international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, research institutes and analytical centers.

NOTES for Applicants

Applicants applying for the master’s degree are admitted by the Admission committee of UWED from July 1 till July 30 (including that day).

The Admission committee works from 09:00 till 17:00, on Saturday – from 09:00 till 14:00, a break – from 13:00 till 14:00, Sunday – the day off.

Applicants applying for master’s degree (who hold a bachelor's degree diploma) will provide the following documents:

  • Application addressed to the Rector of UWED;
  • The original document on higher education (or a copy of diploma for graduates who finished higher education institutions on state scholarship basis) and their applications;
  • Published scientific articles or abstracts (or equivalent documents) and their copy (if existing);
  • Medical certificate #086;
  • Photo 3.5 x 4.5 cm (6 pieces).

Applicants must provide a passport, documents and evidence about involvement in the military service in the application process.

Entrance exams

Master's entrance examinations are held within 3rd and 15th August of the current year.

Master's entrance examination consists of the following general points:

  • Subjects on specialty (according to the sphere of study) – 0-100 points;
  • Written presentation on the basis of Master’s category of scientific and scientific-pedagogical work in order to determine the interest and ability of the applicant in chosen specialty – 0-50 points;
  • Informatics and information technologies - 0-50 points;
  • Foreign languages test ​​(English, German, French) - 0-50 points;
  • The theory and practice of building a democratic society - 0-50 points;
  • Academic indicators of the higher education institution - 55-100 points.

In case of submission of a certificate of foreign language (TOEFL at least 58 or IELTS score of at least 5), TestDaF (TDN3), minimum B2 level on CEFR or B2 and C1 level about possessing English  given by the State Testing Center, applicants receive 50 points and they do not participate in foreign languages test.

The maximum grade for admission for master’s degree is 400 points.

Scholars of the state grants of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the state grants will be accepted on the basis of the state budget in accordance of the sphere of a bachelor degree.

Acceptance of students to the master`s degree of the highest educational institutions is carried out according to "The Provision on an order of the acceptance of students to the master`s degree of the highest educational institutions " approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan №393 of June 20, 2017.

Programs for entrance examinations to the master`s degree of UWED will be provided 1 month before the examinations.

Foreign students should provide the following documents to apply for Master’s degree:

  • Application addressed to the rector of the higher educational institution (indicating the citizenship and chosen specialty);
  • Original passport (copy will be provided to the Admissions Committee);
  • A copy of the document of the residence permit in Uzbekistan;
  • Original diploma and its applications, as well as their notarized translation into Uzbek or Russian languages:
  • 6 photos (color) 3,5 х 4,5;
  • Medical certificate form U-086.

The list of foreign students who submitted their documents to the master’s degree  is subject to expert examination in an appropriate order. Admission of foreign students is determined on the basis of the results of the examination and the relevant decree of the State Commission.

Foreign students are admitted only on the basis of the contract and payment is made in the equivalent of foreign currency.
