The faculty of “International relations" was established in October 1995. The objects of the Faculty are the followings: The area is aimed to develop the knowledge and skills of students in areas such as: preparation of international analyses, the improvement of national perception on foreign policy issues, working with the international legal instruments, research and application of international relations in making decisions on the legal issues, analysis, legal opinions and advice on cases arising in the field of contemporary international relations, perform any functions related to international law and economic relations, international and private institutions, the protection of state interests global affairs, legal enforcement of international treaties and conventions to which Uzbekistan joined, the organization, as well as the strengthening the position and reputation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the world arena, the protection of the public interest.

In the framework of this direction, there are trained specialists for the following organizations: government agencies engaged in diplomacy, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, embassies and consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, the local branches of International organizations in Uzbekistan, local governments, banking, financial bodies and organizations engaged in foreign relations.

The students obtained bachelor’s degree may pursue Master’s degree in duration of two years. In Master’s degree, students are taught the following subjects:

  • Regional aspects of contemporary International; relations;
  • Global development and the political issues of international systems;
  • The national interest of Uzbekistan in International Relations;
  • Practical foreign languages;
  • Economic and Energetic diplomacy;

The students holding master’s degree may work in the following organizations: government agencies engaged in diplomacy, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, embassies and consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, the local branches of International organizations in Uzbekistan, local governments, banking, financial bodies and organizations engaged in foreign relations.
