Students of IER faculty participated in the “Best youth initiative for sustainable development” republican competition
Fourth year students of the IER faculty took part in the “Best youth initiative for sustainable development” republican competition, which was held by the State Committee of Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the British Council, the British Embassy in Uzbekistan and the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan. They participated in the contest with their social projects reflecting environmental protection measures and reforms at the University. Projects such as "Our University - Our Future" (Khayitboyev Sh., Ochilov M., Kim E.) and “Safe Energy” (Urmonov A., Mamadaliev J.) were successfully chosen by British experts among 150 projects, made by 450 students of 22 universities of Uzbekistan. These students who took part in the ceremony, held on August 2, were awarded with valuable prizes by organizers. Despite the fact that they did not manage to take the first place, owing to their projects, "Tashrangmetzavod Recycling" presented one complete collection of containers for our university. Their projects will be implemented in the university. We wish them good luck!
